Break Wall
WHAT THE TOOL DOES
Break Wall analyses selected compound walls and recreates their layers as independent walls. It preserves instance parameters and location-line positioning wherever possible.

From task to result.
Select walls
Select compound walls in Revit, then launch Break Wall. The tool works directly on the selection and does not have a large settings window.
Separate the layers
The script prepares single-layer wall types based on materials and thicknesses. It creates the walls and adjusts their positions to match the original assembly.
Check the result
The source walls are replaced by the new walls and their joins are processed. A summary reports the walls processed and single-layer walls created; check the result in the model afterwards.
A practical example
A three-layer compound wall can become three separate walls, each corresponding to one material. This operation modifies model geometry and replaces the original wall.
